Brian Tomlinson
Speech:Humanising the Coursebook
Brian Tomlinson has worked as a teacher, teacher trainer, curriculum developer, film extra, football coach and university academic in Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Nigeria, Oman, Singapore, UK, Vanuatu and Zambia, as well as giving invited presentations in over seventy countries. He is Founder and President of MATSDA (the international Materials Development Association), an Honorary Visiting Professor at the University of Liverpool and a TESOL Professor at Anaheim University. He has over one hundred publications on materials development, language awareness, teacher development and second language acquisition, and he has recently published Materials Development for Language Teaching (3rd edn) (Bloomsbury, 2023). He has also recently co-authored with Hitomi Masuhara The Complete Guide to the Theory and Practice of Materials Development for Language Learning (Wiley, 2018) and SLA Applied: Connecting Theory and Practice (Cambridge University Press, 2021). At the moment he is working on Materials Development for L2 Communicative Ability with Hitomi Masuhara and Applied Linguistics and Materials Development (2nd edn) with Freda Mishan. Both these books will be published by Bloomsbury in 2026.
Rod Ellis
Speech: Creativity in Learner Language and Its Implications for Language Teaching
Rod Ellis is a Distinguished Research Professor in Curtin University (Australia), an Emeritus Distinguished Professor of the University of Auckland, a fellow of the Royal Society of New Zealand and in the top 1% of social and humanities scientists in the world. He has held teaching positions in universities in Zambia, UK, Japan, USA, New Zealand and Australia and has conducted talks and seminars throughout the world on second language acquisition and task-based language teaching.
Haeok Park
Speech: L2 Process Drama: A Powerful Tool for Humanizing Language Learning Materials
Haeok Park is a Professor and Director of the IGSE Education Center at the International Graduate School of Language Education (IGSE) in Seoul, the Republic of Korea. With over three decades of experience in English language education, she specializes in ELT materials development, process drama in L2 learning, and teacher education. Dr. Park holds a PhD in English Language Teaching from Leeds Metropolitan University, with research focused on implementing process drama in Korean EFL classrooms. She has published journal articles on materials development and drama-based pedagogy and has been invited to speak at numerous teacher training sessions. Her work continues to influence curriculum design, teacher training, and innovative approaches to language teaching in Korea and beyond.
Alan Maley
Speech: Caring and Daring in the Language Classroom
Alan Maley has been involved with English Language Teaching since 1962. He has lived and worked in 10 countries: Yugoslavia, Ghana, Italy, France, China, India, UK, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. He has published over 50 books in the field of language teaching and many articles. From 1988 to 1992 he was President of IATEFL, and in 2012, received the ELTons Lifetime Achievement Award. He was a founder member of The C Group (Creativity for Change in Language Teaching), the IATEFL Global Issues Special Interest Group (GISIG) and The Extensive Reading Foundation. He currently runs an international creative writing group: Worlds into Words.

束定芳,上海外国语大学教授,博士生导师,上海外国语大学大中小学外语国家教材建设重点研究基地首席专家,上海市英语教育教学研究基地首席专家,《外国语》主编,教育部高等学校大学外语教学指导委员会副主任委员。长期从事认知语言学和外语教学理论与实践研究。著有《现代外语教学:理论、实践与方法》(1996,2008)、《隐喻学研究》(2000)、《现代语义学》(2000)、《外语教学改革:问题与对策》(2004)、《认知语义学》(2008)、《大学英语教学成功之路》(2010)、《中国外语战略研究》(2012)、《认知语言学研究方法》(2013)等,主编《新目标大学英语》系列教材(2016),《普通高中教科书·英语》(上外版)教材(2020)、《义务教育教科书(五·四学制)·英语》(1-9年级,上教版)教材(2024)等。

杨鲁新,北京外国语大学英语学院院长、教授、博士生导师,国务院特殊津贴专家。教育部职业院校外语类专业教学指导委员会委员,教育部“国培计划”英语教师培训专家,北京外国语大学中国外语教材研究中心(大中小学外语国家教材建设重点研究基地)副主任,中国高教学会外语教学研究分会秘书长,中国英汉语比较研究会写作教学与研究专业委员会副会长,中国英汉语比较研究会外语教师教育与发展专业委员会常务理事。《基础外语教育》主编,Language Teaching Research期刊编委,TESOL Quarterly等知名国际期刊审稿专家。
